DTD's sponsors Paper Play Time

Dude Time Doodles is sponsoring Paper Play Time and the challenge is Red, White & Blue. No better time than the present to get your Patriotic on! The challenge ends on Saturday, July 9th so get on over check out the TON of prizes being offered and enter to win!!
I used Apple Pie Sam for my Red, White and Blue entry and couldn't help but think of the old Uncle Sam posters.  Then as I started coloring up Sam I started thinking about that delish apple pie and of course I put the two together and came up with the above LOL!

Have a Happy, Fun and SAFE 4th of July!

Dude Time Doodles is Hopping around the Blog!

It's Dude Time Doodles time!  So many exciting things happening this week. Marlene (Rood Doodles) has joined the artistic department; we have 5 (yes count them FIVE) new DT members to stir up the pot and bring on the inspiration; there are all new releases today AND you get to hop around and check out all the eye popping inspiration you can handle. Be sure to welcome our new members.

And don't forget to leave some love on each blog because as we always do there will be a mystery hostess, and a give away! So if you got here via NanaConnie then you are on the right path!

Today I have the pleasure of spotlighting Kyle Karate for you. Kyle hails from Seattle where there are only approximately 125 days of sunshine a year so Kyle takes his frustration out in Karate classes. He is a world class green belt, he loves to cook, he's single and he owns a floating house decorated in ancient Japanese motif with bonsai trees all over his deck. If you are interested in hooking up with Kyle please pick him up HERE!

So get on the hopping trail to visit one of our new member DAWN!! Be sure to check the Dude Time Doodles blog for the line-up if you get lost along the way (I always get distracted when I hop so we made it easy by including the list for you)!

Be sure to leave some love, your comment may be the winning comment!

Happy Hump Day!

Lots of fun stuff going on all over the place today, the first is The Sisterhood has a "guy" themed challenge going on, a dude anniversary card or birthday card. Luckily Rocky was in town on a summer bike ride and it's his birthday so he was the perfect inspiration for today's challenge.

Some more exciting times are around the corner at Dude Time Doodles....it looks like the papparazzi are hitting the town square for some late breaking news......be sure to check it out.

It's Inspirational!

The challenge this week at Dude Time Doodles is Black and White / Monochromatic Inspiration and boy have the Design Team come up with some great ideas.

Here's mine:

This is Cactus Kirk and he has been wandering the lonesome trail for a while.  There is something really sexy about a guy who is so comfortable in his own skin that he can ride for weeks with nothing other than Mother Nature as his companion and his horse. S-E-X-Y!!

Be sure to check out the challenge and get in on the action! Don't forget this is the last day to get in on the Design Team call too!

WhoooWeee What a Wednesday......

Now say that five times really fast....lol...I have got a lot to talk about today! I've got some artwork to show you, some catching up to do and a new venture that I'm so excited about....

First - is the FREEBIE challenge over at Dude Time Doodles. You know it - it's the second Wednesday of the month and the Dudettes have gone all out to represent the graduating class of 2011!
I'd love for you to meet Kurtis the Graduate! Our nephew Kurtis graduates high school this Saturday and this card is just for him! He is the inspiration for the image and if you haven't guessed he's also quite the musician. He already has a cd out - Simply You. We are so proud of him!

Second - Now that you know that creative talent runs deep in this family I will let you in on a little secret.....our eldest son is writing his very first novel. You can find his very first blog (still in the creative stages - yes Mom is helping him out) Writer's Block if you are interested in zombies, survival and overcoming despondency. Now this is a work in progress as I have now become a book editor as well as all the other hats that I wear so as his chapters come to me I will be cleaning them up and posting weekly.  This should be an interesting diversion from froufrou cards, don't you think?

Third - I was able to get a project done for The Sisterhood. I have felt so bad for not getting the time to play with my Sisters and so happy to have carved out a wee bit for this Father's Day project.  I just love this little old guy from Sentimental Sunday. He's colored with Copics and completely enjoying his day.

Lastly - I  have been very busy with my "real" job these last 5-6 months as I have taken on a new role, been training new staff and helping overall with the new structure being implemented when BIG changes occur. I'm so sorry to have not been able to stop by and visit as much as I would like but I am seeing some very much needed light at the end of a long dark tunnel and guess what? It's not a train!!

I sure hope that if you have a graduate in your life that you drop by Dude Time Doodles and pick up the Freebie this week, and if you need some FAB Father's Day inspiration head to The Sisterhood and if you are looking to get the bejeebies scared out of ya drop by Writer's Block for some good old fashioned zombie stompin'!

Summertime and the living is easy.....

This is to all my beautiful bathing beauty friends hitting the beaches and the pools this summer. More power to the REAL women who got it and flaunt it!!

WooHoo It's June 1st

School is almost out, the heat is definitely out and it's time to fit some beach time, some yard time and some major DOWN time in to the summer schedule!

Dude Time Doodles is having it's Sketch Challenge. The sketch is real simple this month:

You can twist the sketch, turn the sketch, flip the sketch, rearrange the sketch LOL but you have to be able to tell that you used this sketch.

I decided to give Ned Nerd the opportunity to shine.

I went on a little shopping spree at Michaels this weekend. My sweet brother-in-law gave me a gift card for Mother's Day and I finally got a break to go do some browsing. I bought some great new papers (included above on sale) and a new Martha Stewart punch with my 40% off coupon. I also found some great clearance sales on mini roses, charms and stickers.

Don't forget that Dude Time Doodles is having a Design Team Call - come join the fun in working with great images and a great team!
