Nick loves old people...

How's that as a segue in to a conversation? LOL Nick and I were looking through some of my cards over the weekend and trying to figure out which ones I should post and he picked these two. One I had posted previously but Nick liked them so much he wanted me to post them together.
We go to this little Chinese buffet once a week and when Nick gets to go he loves watching the older couples who come in. There is one couple in particular that he thinks are adorable. The gentleman holds the ladies coat for her, lifts her hair off her collar and he likes to see them hold hands and be so sweet to each other.
For me I love seeing that my 14 year old son has a genuine appreciation for the elder folks and that he holds "true love" near and dear to his heart. These pics remind him of what he likes best about seeing Grandma's and Grandpa's together!

Both images are Mo Manning designs. You can find more of her delightful creations at Mo's Digital Pencil.

That's Blogger for Ya!

Well what started out as a 'scheduled' in advance post ended up actually being posted. How did that happen? It seems that all the rain, the intermittent internet and Blogger decided to run away together. Kind of like the dish running away with the spoon!

I had started this post in advance and in anticipation of the next That's Krafty challenge but while starting to draft my post the internet decided to go down and that somehow triggered Blogger to say "oh she wants to post, let's post". UGH! LOL!

And now that it has already gone live I decided to just Let It Be!  This little darlin' is a Mo Manning design that I picked up through the Katie Fundraising project. Isn't she adorable? I sure wish I could grow things...I mean I can grow mold and the hair on my legs but that is about the extent of it. When I do try to grow things it is just like this little sweet pea - I carry my beloved plant around with me singing to it and talking to it and trying to will it in to a real live plant. I sure "hope" this little gal has better luck than me - she already has really, at least she's got a Little Sprout.

Have an AWESOME Friday!!! Bring on the weekend!

That's Krafty Thursday #47

If you haven't been to see The Spotted Chick yet you have got to get over there and check out what is going on!  You will find some of the finest eye candy around and some really humorous stories and just all around fun.

I first saw Jeanie's blog when she created a card using a Dude Time Doodles image. I was blown away by her talent and her humor!  I've been stalking her ever since.  I decided after seeing her That's Krafty Thursday challenge that I just had to play along since I have a ton of kraft cardstock that I somehow seem to over look.  This little cutie is from TiddlyInks and I couldn't help coloring her up all ready for warmer weather and sandy beaches!! Isn't she adorable?

See ya at the beach my little fishes!!!

It is time to be inspired....

Dude Time Doodles has just what the doctor ordered for those cabin fevered patients who have moved on to symptoms of SPRING FEVER.....Oh I can hear the beach calling, the Corona as the top is popped and all my favorite colors that remind me of Spring.. The brilliant clear blue skies and water - the bright yellow sun....

Oh shoot Dr. StrangeGlove's nurse just called hubby's name - sorry gotta run and hold his hand.

He really hates this part!!

We hope you'll join the Dudettes in another FABULOUS inspiration challenge!!

Say hello to Mimi and Miles from Penny Black - I picked up this adorable couple from Stamp-by-Step, I also picked up the ribbon roses and papers there!

Happy LOVE DAY is just around the corner....do you buy in to the commercialism of VDay? Do you think that roses, candy and romance should be an every day event from your love or are you satisfied with just one day a year? NOT ME BABY!! It's kind of like my birthday, it should be celebrated every day and the party should not stop and neither should the little shows of affection! Bring it on!

Images that make your heart smile..

We all have our favorite types of images that we gravitate towards. Whether we love florals or cute animals. Maybe we are in to scenery or abstract. I have a confession to make - since none of you ever really knew this - laughing to myself here -

I LOVE little boy images! Anything to do with boys! I guess that's why I started Dude Time Doodles but one of my very favorite companies for the cutest boy images that just makes my heart smile is Lili of the Valley.

This boy has stolen my heart:

I can imagine that he is dreaming of being a sea captain, or traveling down the great Mississippi. Perhaps the envelope contains his letter God and holds all of his grandest wishes. I hope he brings a smile to your hearts as well.

Dude Time Doodles Sketch Challenge

It's Sketch Wednesday at Dude Time Doodles! Yay! I love a great sketch. Although I don't always follow it exactly I do like that a great sketch is much like a road map.

I used Conrad Construction for my image this week. He is one of the Dude Time Doodles new releases for the month of February. I just love his rugged good looks and big manly muscles! LOL
I used some stickers that I had lying around and colored Conrad up with my Copics.  The rules over at Dude Time are you can use any image but it has to be a masculine themed card - you can also take creative license with the sketch - you can twist it or flip it. Easy and FUN!! Sure hope I see you over there! Be sure to stop by and check out the DT's work, those Dudettes are AMAZING!

I.Q.

One of my favorite movies of 1994, I.Q. was the inspiration for one of our new releases - M.C. Squared.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when Ed takes Albert for a ride on his motorcycle...

Catherine Boyd: You took Albert Einstein for a ride on that thing?
Ed Walters: Sure.
Catherine Boyd: Well don't ever do that again!
Ed Walters: Come on. He loved it. He went "Wahoo."
Catherine Boyd: Wahoo?
Ed Walters: When's the last time he said "Wahoo"?
Catherine Boyd: Well I'm sure I don't know.
Ed Walters: When's the last time *you* said Wahoo?
Catherine Boyd: Well I'm *sure* I don't know.

[inside:  Don't let your brain interfere with your heart]

If you haven't "WaHoo'd" in a while I hope you get your WaHoo on real soon!
